How Transcendental meditation helps to reduce stress?

Transcendental Meditation prepares the nervous system for any activity. After all, the nervous system plays the most crucial role in whether we experience pleasant or unpleasant stress, whether we are satisfied or dissatisfied. I believe that if we can influence the nervous system in such a way that it truly calms down and performs at its best in any situation, then it is an ideal solution.

Reduce stress Naturally With Transcendental Meditation

We are all aware the harmful effects of stress our productivity decreases, we find lot of disharmony in our relationships and create malfunctioning in our physiology. In short it spoils our life quality.

Stress is a vicious circle. The more stressed we are, the easier we will gain more stress. Under stress, we more easily lose our balance, get into arguments or fights, and become even more stressed. Stress also blocks creativity, making it more difficult to find solutions for problems. Being faced with a problem that we can’t solve is just one more stress to add to the pile!

Research shows is that during Transcendental Meditation your body gains a state of rest what allows the build up of stress, fatigue, tension, anxiety to be dissolved, to be eliminated. When we get a state of deep rest, it allows the body to repair itself. There is a hormone called cortisol. It is secreted by the adrenal glands, which sit on the kidneys, when we’re anxious. So when we’re anxious the body secretes cortisol, and then we feel more anxious. It becomes a vicious cycle, we feel more anxious, more cortisol, more anxious, more cortisol.

During a good night’s sleep, cortisol levels drop a bit. That is why we wake up feeling fresher in the morning. Research shows that twenty minutes of Transcendental Meditation cortisol levels drop 30%. That is a significant reduction in this production of this anxiety hormone.

Decreased Cortisol The Stress Hormone

TM’s effect on cortisol: this landmark study published in Hormones and Behavior found that during the Transcendental Meditation practice the excessive cortisol ("the Stress Hormone") reduces by 30%. This greatly improves the quality of life

More balanced life

Although in our busy life we very often can not avoid stressful situations, we can empower our self to deal more effective way with them. With Transcendental Meditation we can neutralize the harmful effects of the stresses irrespective of our circumstances. The regular practice make us more balanced and give us more energy, more motivation and more happiness.

Various health trends always offer us the latest health solutions. However, the key to well-being is very simple: let our inner intelligence restore balance and thus good health.

Rest allows the body’s natural regeneration and healing mechanisms to unfold in their entirety. When we do not rest enough, our body performs poorly, and health problems caused by stress may also arise.

In the deep state of rest experienced during TM practice, deeply rooted stresses and fatigue naturally dissolve, promoting the rejuvenation of the body and improvement of brain function.

How stress damages and TM improves brain function?

Stress, anxiety, exhaustion, poor eating habits, alcohol, and drugs are all devastating to the frontal lobe and other areas of our brain.

Anxiety is often related to deep-rooted stresses, which are frequently beyond the reach of normal therapies, such as relaxation or psychotherapy, that can only work on the surface level of the mind and may take months or years for some improvements.

Transcendental Meditation brings the mind to its deepest inner source and activates the body’s and mind’s power to heal itself from even our deepest stresses. It strengthens the connection of the frontal lobe (which is primarily responsible for rational decision-making) and other areas of the brain. Anxiety and fear spontaneously disappear as a side effect of coming back home, leading to a holistic positive transformation that affects all areas of life. We make better decisions and foster more harmonious relationships. Most people start to experience some or significant improvement from the very beginning of the practice.

Effect of deep rest

Effect of deep rest

This Meta-analysis show compering with the control group during TM practice significant reductions in respiratory rate, skin resistance and plasma lactate occur , what is indicate the state of deep relaxation. The control subjects sitting with their eyes closed have increased basal skin resistance. Additionally, the subjects practicing TM had a lower baseline heart rate and respiratory rate, a lower plasma lactate level, and spontaneous skin resistance responses outside of meditation, what show this effects are integrated in the daily life.
